I am October Spotlight in my looming Yahoo Group Decoraccents Looms and I posted this project that was designed by Isela. It is a pinwheel dishcloth that I enjoyed looming in my miniwonderloom small gauge. I loomed it in four hours. It is 100% cotton

EMILIANO WAS BORN APRIL 29TH
My grandnephew is born. It feels as my own grandson. My niece has been always so close to me that Emiliano will call me 'abuelita' also. My sister is sharing him with me and I feel so happy.
My world has totally changed. I am hooked on him. Fall in love instantly!!! I don't know how I lived without him until now.
He is proudly wearing his blanket which was made for him especially. Thinking of him.

Pinwheel Baby Blanket fourth version
I loomed this fourth version of Denise Layman pinwheel blanket matching the colors of the booties I loomed for the first grandnephew who is coming to the family. He was supposed to be born on April 19th, my birthday, but he did not, so we are everybody waiting anxiously for him. He is healthy according to the doctor, he is just not decided to come out to the world yet. He is planned to be born in a bathtub full of water, so the trauma of birth does not affect him. His name will be Emiliano.

Bethany's Booties
Bethany formed a group to start teaching nice things designed by her. And I started to loomed them but I got Isela's news about a lump in her breast and I was so much worried that the first attempt of booties I loomed I did not like i
but when I heard the good news that the lump was benign, the same day I loomed the second attempt and here is the resulting bootie, I think it is pretty.

Isela's Cable cuff fingerless gloves-new stitch found
I enjoyed so much Isela's pattern that I loomknitted another pair but now fingerless instead of mitts. I did another cable at the top trying to do it as Karen's but I could not make it the same, still I like them
I think I found a new stitch. I have never seen it described and I really like it. I asked Isela about it and she agreed that it is new!!! How about that? I was doing the garter stitch, but instead of doing a purl in the second row I made a flat stitch and this is the result.
So here is the description: It is the same if it is in the round or a flat panel. The first row you e-wrap and the second row you do a u stitch/flat stitch and you continue like this.

Isela's Cable Cuff Mitts
Inside the community Ravelry I belong to different groups and one of them is Loom Along in which we 'Loom Along' a proyect every month and it is so much fun and full of nice patterns that Isela Phelps prepares for the group that I am enjoying a lot.
On February we made this beautiful cabled cuff mitt that Isela designed. It is so delicate and the pattern so well written that I loved it. Of course I had to add my purple touch:)

I was accepted on December but really started a project this January. It is a pair of socks with Isela's group Loom Along, which start a project every month. Pinwheel Baby Blanket
Here is the picture of another Pinwheel Blanket in blue that I made for a just born nephew, Diego, whose parents live in Spain as the mom is from there, so I loom knitted my favorite baby blanket and here is the picture. I could not give it to him personally as I had the flu and did not want him to catch it.
The pattern of this blanket was designed by Denise Layman, this is the third time I loom knit this blanket and just love it.

My holidays
On December 26th I traveled to Simi Valley to visit my daughter and we had such a great time! We went to visit the Getty Museum which is beautiful and has so many pieces of art. I was impressed with all the paintings, especially one by Van Gogh. I took pictures of it and I took pictures of my daughter, my son in law and my nephew, who came from France
My daughter Gabriela outside the Getty Museum. Notice her Magic Scarf loomed by mom.(that is me)
My nephew, Jean Sebastian and I. He came from France to visit
At night outside of Getty Museum. Notice the magic scarf which I loomed and Gabriela's fingerless gloves, which I also loomed. The scarf I was wearing, I bought it online and the gloves too I really liked them, but I lost one that day and my purpose starting this year is to learn to loom Karen's (creativity)gloves.

Midge Scarf exchange
It has been quite a while since I last posted in my blog, two months to be exactly, but it is because time flies, or is it life that flies away? Anyway here are some pictures of the midge scarves I made the purple one which I sent to my partner in the Christmas exchange from my looming group. And I also got from her, June (Loom_lady) a really nice one and some dishcloths very pretty. I also loomed a blue one as a gift and I even made one in Tunisian Crochet with Christmas colors. This kind of scarves are so comfy and you really can wear them with any kind of wardrobe. The pattern is available at Isela's site, scroll down and in the right side look for scarflette in the "free loom patterns section". Don't forget to leave a donation as Isela has done so much for us loom knitters.
