The variation is in the edge, instead of loom knitting a see saw edge, I crocheted with shell and drop stitch and added a ribbon.

Very pretty blanket I have made two and never thought to crchet around the edge like that its beautiful the edging takes so long to make on the loom lol. and crocheting would of been fast . love the blanket . also your daughter had a beautiful voice love it.. thanks for sharing with us.
