TUNISIAN ENTRELAC AND IN THE ROUND

I always wanted to learn Tunisian Entrelac Crochet, so I bought the leaflet from Carolyn Christmas, and here is my first attemp. I am doing this blanket for my Grandaughter to be born next May and

I watched these videos in Spanish with the instructions for Tunisian Entrelac and love them. Thank you Ma. de Jesus for so generously sharing.

And from some great videos  ( I do not speak the language, but just watched and learned)

I made these gloves for my nephew Juanito who lives in France and it gets to be really cold on a long winter time.

And I made this scarflette also for my nephew  Juanito to match with his gloves.

Fingerless Gloves with sock yarn

On Christmas time I visited my daughter Gabriela and her husband Ernesto and the baby girl who will be my FIRST GRANDAUGHTER!!!

I bought a lot of yarn in Joanns, maybe too many but I have so many projects in mind for the baby.

I got a nice sock wool, called Sensations and I started a sock as a Christmas gift for me on my fine gauge mini wonderloom from Dalooms and it was coming along pretty well until I realized I never show off socks (not any more jejeje) and I switched it to be a fingerless glove. I just loved the result!!

BABY SWEATER WITH BRIOCHE STITCH

It has been a long time since I posted on my blog. Been very busy as I moved my office and did not have the time totally to loom and do crafts.

But now winter has arrived to Mexico and it is kind of chilly. I have started to loom knit, needle knit and crochet again.

BABY SWEATER LOOMKNITTED ON MY AJAL WITH BRIOCHE STITCH

I also loomknitted this really nice baby sweater (ribbon not yet added as we still don't know the sex of the baby, but in 15 days we will!!!! I can't wait!!!). I used my AJAL FG (adjustable knitting board) 12", fine gauge and it is so great to work with!!! These looms are pure art.

Long tail cast on

A variation of Brioche Stitch (described by Lady Alwen for the first time in the looms) I wrapped the yarn on all the pegs instead of every other one. This way the sweater was more cozy and comfy.

Stitches come out so great. I enjoy this way of wrapping a lot!! It is fun and speedy because you lift up only one side each row and then the other

SCHOONER SOCKS DESIGNED BY ISELA PHELPS

It has been quite a while since I posted some pictures of my projects and it is not that I have not
been looming, the thing is that I have not had the time to sit and post the pictures.

These are the schooner socks which were loomed on the April loom along in our Yahoo Group

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SockLoomKnitters

I loomed them in my new WonderSock loom

It is wonderful working with this loom. At first I thought I would never accomplish it, but it is a great feeling when you finish your project. I wish now I would have two of this so to loom two at a time.

I also loomed some slippers and they are so comfortable. Here is a picture

EMILIANO WAS BORN APRIL 29TH

My grandnephew is born. It feels as my own grandson. My niece has been always so close to me that Emiliano will call me 'abuelita' also. My sister is sharing him with me and I feel so happy.

My world has totally changed. I am hooked on him. Fall in love instantly!!! I don't know how I lived without him until now.

He is proudly wearing his blanket which was made for him especially. Thinking of him.

Pinwheel Baby Blanket fourth version

I loomed this fourth version of Denise Layman pinwheel blanket matching the colors of the booties I loomed for the first grandnephew who is coming to the family. He was supposed to be born on April 19th, my birthday, but he did not, so we are everybody waiting anxiously for him. He is healthy according to the doctor, he is just not decided to come out to the world yet. He is planned to be born in a bathtub full of water, so the trauma of birth does not affect him. His name will be Emiliano.

Bethany's Booties

Bethany formed a group to start teaching nice things designed by her. And I started to loomed them but I got Isela's news about a lump in her breast and I was so much worried that the first attempt of booties I loomed I did not like i
but when I heard the good news that the lump was benign, the same day I loomed the second attempt and here is the resulting bootie, I think it is pretty.

Isela's Cable cuff fingerless gloves-new stitch found

I enjoyed so much Isela's pattern that I loomknitted another pair but now fingerless instead of mitts. I did another cable at the top trying to do it as Karen's but I could not make it the same, still I like them

I think I found a new stitch. I have never seen it described and I really like it. I asked Isela about it and she agreed that it is new!!! How about that? I was doing the garter stitch, but instead of doing a purl in the second row I made a flat stitch and this is the result.

So here is the description: It is the same if it is in the round or a flat panel. The first row you e-wrap and the second row you do a u stitch/flat stitch and you continue like this.
